We took over “House by the Loch” in September 2022, moving up from Bath, England with our two sons Max & Freddie. Having run a country pub for over ten years, with B&B rooms and holiday cottage we couldn’t think of a place more beautiful to relocate and calm the crazy that had become our lives! (Still a little crazy with a 10 & 4 year old)!

This amazing large holiday house is so versatile it can accommodate a large group. With 9 bedrooms it can sleep up to 19 people. But you don’t have to be a large group to book… 4 couples could book the whole place for a treat!
Popular over the years for family holidays in the Scottish Highlands it offers many facilities for your large group celebration…from Grandma’s 80th birthday party to a group of friends having a get together and it embraces families coming together to enjoy their holidays and have fun.
You can all sit together around the huge oak dining table, pour a drink at the bar, enjoy the large sitting room with TV and poker/roulette table or discover the separate upstairs area if you want privacy and quiet with more glorious loch views.
House by the Loch has a separate sofa and large screen gaming area near the fantastic 9 seater Cinema Room for those of your group who wish to bring their favourite Xbox and PS4 games.
The house is accessible downstairs by wheelchair users. It has one ground floor twin bedroom with adjacent shower semi-wetroom which enables wheelchairs to enter the shower area easily, access the basin and toilet.

- Free Wireless Internet connection.
- Mobile phone reception.
- Sky Cinema, Xbox One, Xbox360, PS4, Echo Dot and Apple Music. Bring your own extra controllers and favourite games in addition to the ones at the house.
- Large dining table seats 20.
- Heat Recovery system that pumps filtered air into the house and removes damp, stale air.
- Downstairs underfloor heating throughout and radiators upstairs for controllability. Electric underfloor heating in upstairs bathrooms/en-suites.
- Speakers controlled with Aux cable. Rotating mirror ball light, Fairy lights.
- Cots - 2 wooden and 2 travel (also handy playpens), 3 High chairs, Toddler Bed rail, Baby cups, plates and cutlery, toddler toys.
- Allergy free bedding and cushions - strictly no pets on-site or in the house but check online for nearby kennels. This is because of guests with allergies and there is unfortunately no way to ensure the pets are kept downstairs, noise issues and toddlers sharing the lawn.
- A bubbling Whirlpool bathroom, 2 en-suite shower rooms, 2 cloakrooms, 3 family bathrooms.
- 1 semi-wetroom : disabled friendly and next to the downstairs twin bedroom for easy access.
- 1 American fridge freezer, 1 fridge freezer and a 36 bottle wine cooler.
- First Aid kit.
- Large selection of kitchen cooking equipment inc 1 commercial catering pot, several large pots and pans, a wok, ovenware dishes, electric hand whisks, bread baskets, baking tins, plastic jugs, tupperware, plain white crockery, glass water jugs, wine/shot/pint/hi-ball glasses suitable for 19 persons+, baby plastic plates, cutlery etc, tea towels, oven gloves, apron plus basic cleaning items and tea tray to start you off.

- Table decorations for celebrations.
